One 🇮🇪 Irish Crew, One 🇳🇿 Kiwi Crew, and a Dancefloor Waiting to Happen

Osh + Hannah | Trents Vineyard, Christchurch NZ

Some weddings sre beautifully chaotic in the best possible way.

These two met while working at Camp Ernst through Camp America back in 2018, and have spent the years since building a life across countries, adventures and time zones. Hannah’s originally from New Zealand, Oisin’s from Ireland, and somewhere between surfing trips, camping missions, coffees, teas, a dog named Whiskey and building a house together, they created a life that feels entirely their own.

So when it came time to plan a wedding, there was never going to be anything overly formal about it.

They wanted a New Zealand summer wedding full of laughs, loose moments and all the people they love in one place - many of whom had never even met before. Irish family, Kiwi family, lifelong mates, overseas friends appearing via iPad from Ireland, and one very excited dancefloor waiting in the wings.

Set at Trents Vineyard, the whole day carried that perfect mix of heartfelt and completely unserious.

The morning unfolded slowly at Hannah’s family home with music, brunch and the kind of energy that only happens when everyone’s genuinely excited to be there. Hair by Grace Kim, makeup by Izzy Salisbury and Hannah Minor, florals from The After Hours Stylist and Cherie Cockle, and a gown from Wilkins Bridal all came together without anyone taking themselves too seriously.

Exactly as it should be.

Then came the ceremony.

Led by Brittany Muir, it was warm, emotional, hilarious in parts (especially the flower people!), and packed with personality. Osh’s reaction as Hannah walked up the aisle said more than any speech really could. There were shots during the ceremony, friends cheering from both hemispheres, and when “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” kicked in for the walk back down the aisle, the whole place erupted.

And from there, things only escalated.

Speeches, dinner & napkin waving chaos and before long the dancefloor properly ignited. Somewhere amongst the madness sat an actual bouncy castle courtesy of The Bouncy Castle Company, while the retro camcorder bounced between Irish and Kiwi friend groups collecting the exact kind of unfiltered nonsense couples end up treasuring years later.

Captured alongside Joseph O’Sullivan, this was the kind of wedding that reminds you what these days are actually about.

Not perfection.

Just people, personality, and one absolutely unforgettable summer night.
